The Role
A secondary school in Tamworth is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their department from January 2026 on a full-time, long-term supply basis. The role involves teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons that support pupils’ understanding and progression across the curriculum.
You will take responsibility for planning, teaching, and assessing lessons, maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement, and working collaboratively within the Science department. This position is suitable for experienced teachers as well as ECTs looking to secure a consistent and supportive long-term role.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or be an ECT)
- Have experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- Be confident delivering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management
- Be organised, adaptable, and committed to pupil progress
