Job Description
As a teaching assistant you will be working on a 1-2-1 or small group basis within the class. Supporting children with a range of special educational needs including Autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities. The team are supportive, and facilities are excellent, allowing you to focus on supporting the needs of children in the class. This in an ongoing opportunity at an excellent school for a Level 3 qualified teaching assistant.
Job Role:
- Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of KS3 or 4 children with additional needs
- Having a good understanding of a range of special educational needs
- Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
- Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
- Dismantling barriers to communication and making learning fun
- Outstanding support form an established team of Teaching Assistants
- Access to ongoing training and CPD
- Working with an outstanding SEND Teacher
- A long-term opportunity in an excellent special school
