Housing Advice / Prevention / Homelessness Assessment Officer
West London
Hybrid working (50% office-based after induction)
3–6 month ongoing contract
£32.00 per hour (umbrella)
Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
Basic DBS required

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Advice / Prevention / Homelessness Assessment Officer to join a busy Housing Options Service in West London.
The Role

Be part of the Housing Options duty service, completing assessments and managing a varied caseload
Carry out prevention and relief work in line with statutory duties
Undertake homelessness enquiries and draft Section 184 decision letters
Work within a fast-paced, pressurised environment, managing competing demands
Provide accurate advice in line with housing legislation and statutory guidance

Requirements

Strong working knowledge of Part VII Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Reduction Act, and related legislation
Proven experience in homelessness assessments, casework, and decision writing
Ability to hit the ground running within a high-demand Housing Options service
Excellent time management and communication skills
