Rate: £28 per hour (umbrella)
Contract: 3–6 months, ongoing
Working Pattern: Hybrid

About the Role:
We are recruiting for an experienced Allocations & Lettings Officer to join a busy West London local authority. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end allocations and lettings process — ensuring properties are efficiently matched and let to eligible applicants in line with housing policies and statutory guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer the social housing allocations & nominations process
• Manage voids and minimise turnaround times
• Liaise with applicants, landlords, and internal partners
• Ensure compliance with housing legislation & local allocation policies
• Assess eligibility, prioritisation, and suitability of applicants
• Maintain accurate records and case notes

Requirements:

• Previous experience in Allocations and Lettings within a UK local authority
• Strong knowledge of Housing legislation and Choice-Based Lettings schemes
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
