📍 Location: West Midlands
💷 Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour (via agency)

Are you an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a confident, skilled, and compassionate social worker to join a busy, supportive team committed to early intervention, high-quality assessments, and effective permanency planning.

🌟 What You'll Be Doing
As a key member of the Children’s Services team, you will:

Manage a varied and complex caseload, including cases in court proceedings.
Complete high-quality assessments including parenting and viability assessments.
Prepare robust reports such as CPRs, Annex A, and final evidence that can stand up to scrutiny.
Undertake direct work with children and families to assess risk, identify needs, and implement effective care plans.
Collaborate with health, education, police, and other agencies to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Contribute to permanency planning and ensure children’s long-term outcomes are prioritised.
Participate in monthly individual supervision and group reflective practice sessions.

✅ About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:

Social Work England registration and a recognised Social Work qualification.
4+ years’ post-qualifying experience in statutory children’s services.
Proven expertise in court work, permanency planning, and safeguarding.
Strong understanding of child protection legislation and the Children Act 1989.
Excellent written skills – able to produce clear, analytical and evidence-based reports.
Confidence in risk assessment and complex decision-making.
A creative and flexible approach to engaging children and families.
A commitment to strengths-based and trauma-informed practice.
