Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of children through fostering? We’re seeking a skilled professional to join a dedicated Fostering Team in Merseyside. This role plays a vital part in recruiting, assessing, supporting, and supervising foster carers to ensure children and young people have safe, nurturing homes where they can thrive.

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

Undertake Form F assessments for prospective foster carers
Provide supervision, support, and guidance to approved carers
Ensure all placements meet safeguarding and quality standards
Contribute to the matching process to place children with the right families
Work collaboratively with children’s social workers, carers, and multi-agency partners
Monitor and review foster placements to promote stability and wellbeing

✅ What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
4+ years’ post-qualified experience, ideally in fostering or children’s services
Strong understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding and the National Minimum Standards
Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with foster carers
Excellent assessment, report-writing, and communication skills
A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for children in care
