Are you a passionate and experienced Qualified Social Worker with a strong background in Family Safeguarding? We’re looking for someone just like you to join a committed, supportive, and fast-paced Family Safeguarding Team in Lancashire.

🧒 About the Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering early intervention and long-term safeguarding support to children and families. From Section 47 Enquiries to Children in Need work, your involvement starts at day one of planning for permanence.
You’ll work directly with children and families, collaborate closely with key partners like health, education, police, and Integrated Prevention & Earliest Help, and be part of a team that values early help, community support, and sustainable positive outcomes.
Your day-to-day will include:
✅ Assessments, care planning, and risk analysis
✅ Supporting children throughout their safeguarding journey
✅ Engaging families to build resilience and independence
✅ Championing best practices and meaningful change
👤 What We’re Looking For
You’ll need to bring a strong foundation of knowledge, professionalism, and heart to this role. The ideal candidate will be:

• ✅ Registered with Social Work England
• ✅ 4+ years qualified, with strong safeguarding experience
• ✅ Skilled in building trust with children and families
• ✅ Knowledgeable in Child Protection legislation and practice
• ✅ Collaborative – able to work across multi-agency partnerships
• ✅ Flexible, creative, and always striving for better outcomes

💼 What You'll Be Doing

• Managing a diverse caseload
• Conducting comprehensive risk and needs assessments
• Creating care plans that reflect diversity, dignity, and empowerment
• Supporting and mentoring students and unqualified staff
• Promoting child-centred practice and sustainable change
