Social Worker – Children’s Integrated Disability Service

Location: Brecon (Part office-based, part home working)
Contract: 24th March 2025 – 20th June 2025
Hours: 22.2 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: £29.64 - £37.30 per hour

What You’ll Do:
Assess and support children with disabilities (e.g., Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Autism) and their families.
Handle a mix of cases—new assessments, care & support plans, and some child protection or court work.
Work creatively to promote safety, independence, and potential, adhering to the Social Services and Well-being (W ales) Act 2014.
Partner with your team, covering duties and building strong relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
Safeguard children by identifying risks and crafting plans that prioritise their wellbeing and inclusion.

What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Social Work Degree (DipSW or equivalent) and registration with Social Care Wales.
Experience: Post-qualifying experience in assessments and risk identification (disability/childcare experience a big plus).
Skills: Strong communication, IT, and caseload management, with empathy and person-centred approaches.
Qualities: Team player, adaptable, innovative, and committed to equality and confidentiality.
Bonus Points: Knowledge of direct payments, care packages, or Signs of Safety approach.
