Are you a committed and resilient teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Our partnering trauma-informed school in Northumberland is seeking a Qualified Teacher (QTS essential) to join their dedicated team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who thrives in nurturing environments and believes in relationship-based practice. You will be joining a supportive, highly skilled staff team who place pupil wellbeing and emotional development at the heart of everything they do.
Role Overview
- Deliver personalised and engaging lessons to pupils with SEMH needs
- Use trauma-informed, attachment-aware approaches in the classroom
- Build positive, trusting relationships and provide consistent emotional support
- Work collaboratively with support staff and school leaders
- Create a safe, stable and predictable environment to help pupils regulate and succeed
- QTS (essential)
- Experience working in SEMH, PRU or trauma-informed settings (desirable)
- A nurturing, patient and reflective teaching style
- Strong communication and behaviour-regulation skills
- Someone who is resilient, adaptable and able to meet a wide range of needs

Pay is dependent on experience, with the higher end offered to more experienced teachers.
