Vitalis Social Care are recruiting for an experienced and qualified Social Worker to join an Emergency Duty Team.
Job Role and Responsibilities: -
The Emergency Duty Team (EDT) is a vital service which provides out of hours cover for North Yorkshire Council and the City of York and is based in County Hall, Northallerton, although the service operates on a countywide basis.
The principal responsibility of EDT is to respond to out of hours requests where intervention from the Local Authority is required to safeguard a vulnerable child or adult until the next working day. As a qualified and registered Social Worker, you will have a broad and detailed knowledge of statutory functions of Social Care and Health Services.
You will be dealing with complex cases that require thorough and robust risk decision making. You will have proven experience in Social Work in one or more areas of practice, including children, adults and families.
