Occupational Therapist, Blackburn with Darwen
Pay rate £30 per hour
Vitalis Social Care are recruiting for an experienced and qualified Occupational Therapist in the Blackburn area. This role involves delivering essential community-based assessments and interventions for individuals requiring equipment, minor and major adaptations to support their independence and well-being.
Job Purpose & Responsibilities: -

Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending both standard and specialist equipment.
•   Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients’ homes.
•   Perform manual handling assessments, ensuring safe practices and compliance with relevant guidelines.
•   Collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals to create individualized support plans.
•   Maintain thorough and accurate records in line with professional and legal standards.

Requirements: -
HCPC registration and relevant qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
•   Demonstrated experience working within a local authority setting.
•   Proficiency in completing manual handling assessments.
•   Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptation processes.
•   Excellent communication and organizational skills.
