The Role
We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Birmingham from January 2026. This long-term supply role involves teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, supporting students in developing their problem-solving, reasoning, and numerical fluency.
You’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire learners of all abilities, ensuring strong progress and preparation for GCSE examinations. The role includes full teaching responsibilities — planning, marking, and assessment — within a collaborative and well-resourced Maths department.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a passionate Maths specialist who can make the subject accessible and enjoyable. You should be:
- A qualified teacher with QTS (applications from ECTs welcome)
- Experienced in teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
- Skilled in creating engaging, differentiated lessons that promote progress
- Confident in using assessment data to inform teaching and support attainment
- A strong communicator with excellent classroom management and organisational skills
