Location: Birmingham
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Long-term supply
Pay: £175 – £250 per day (depending on experience)
Eligibility: QTS or ECT welcome to apply
 
Key Details:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Birmingham this September. This long-term supply role offers an excellent opportunity to teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4.
 
The Role:
You will deliver high-quality English lessons that spark curiosity and foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking. The role includes full teaching responsibilities such as lesson planning, marking, and assessment. You will play an active role in driving pupil progress and contributing to a supportive and collaborative English department.
 
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) — applications from ECTs are welcomed
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
  • Strong subject knowledge, particularly in English Language and Literature
  • A creative approach to teaching and learning
  • Strong classroom management skills and a positive, enthusiastic attitude
This role would suit an ambitious Early Career Teacher seeking their first long-term post or an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge in a rewarding environment.
