- Salary: £500 – £750 per week (dependent on experience and assignment)
- Contract Type: Long-term and day-to-day cover available
- Key Stages: KS3 & KS4
The Role
We’re working with a range of Sandwell secondary schools seeking reliable, confident, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support their teaching teams. You’ll be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects, maintaining classroom order, and ensuring pupils stay on task in the absence of the regular teacher. These roles are perfect for graduates considering teaching, experienced Cover Supervisors, or teaching assistants ready for the next step.
Opportunities are available for both short-term daily supply and longer-term placements, giving you the flexibility to choose what works for your schedule.
The Candidate
You’ll need to be confident managing a classroom, resilient under pressure, and able to engage students across KS3 and KS4. Previous experience working in a school setting is ideal, though not essential—strong communication skills, a calm presence, and good organisation are key.
Ideal for:
- Graduates considering teacher training
- Existing Cover Supervisors or Teaching Assistants
- Youth workers or sports coaches with transferable skills
- A DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) is essential.
