Primary Teacher – Newham
 
Are you looking for a new position as a Primary Teacher in Newham. If so, this may be the perfect position for you. Pertemps Education is working alongside a 3-form entry primary school who are seeking to appoint an experienced Primary Teacher to lead a class in KS1.
 
This will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent upon review. The position will be paid to scale ranging from M1 to M6, the school may consider UPS candidates.
 
About the school:

• Based in the heart of Newham
• A mixed primary academy part of a multi-academy trust
• 3-form entry school catering for 4 to 11 years old
• Has a capacity of around 650+ pupils, with approximately 600 currently enrolled
• Rated Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted
• Mainstream setting with a designated SENCO providing statutory SEND support in line with national requirements

 
Key responsibilities:

• Lead a Year 2 class in KS1
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
• Assess, record and report on student progress and attainment
• Assisting students with a range of SEND specific to your class
• Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
• Providing feedback to senior leaders and parents

 
The ideal candidate:

• Will be QTS qualified
• Can work full-time, 5 days a week during term time
• Can work from 08:30 AM to 03:30 PM
• Have experience working with students with a range of SEND
• Be enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential
• Comfortable working as part of a team and can form relationships
