Speech and Language Teaching Assistant – Waltham Forest
 
Are you looking for a new position as a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant in Waltham Forest. If so, this may be the perfect position for you. Pertemps Education is working alongside a 1-form entry primary school who are seeking to appoint an experienced Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to support students of primary age.
 
This will be a part-time, long-term position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. There will be an opportunity to go permanent upon review. The daily rate will be between £115 to £125 depending on your experience.

• Caters for children aged 4 to 11 years old

Key responsibilities:

• Able to work across all aged in primary
• Carry out SALT sessions for students
• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Assisting students with Autism and/or additional learning needs
• Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class and minimise disruption
• Providing feedback to teachers and parents

 
The ideal candidate:

• Can work part-time, 2-4 days a week during term time
• Can work from 08:30 AM to 03:30 PM
• Have experience working with students with a range of SEND
• Be enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their full potential
• Comfortable working as part of a team and can form relationships
