Teaching Assistant
Long-term contract, September to July 2026 – Full academic year
MPS1 – MPS6 (£162 - £250)
Plan, deliver and mark for a Year 4 class for the academic year
“Good”, 2-form entry primary school, Erdington.
The Role
As a year 4 teacher you will take charge of a dynamic class, planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum. You’ll support pupils through a key phase in Key Stage 2, using assessment strategies to monitor progress and deepen understanding. You will foster a positive learning environment that equips pupils with the knowledge, confidence and curiosity to thrive.
The candidate
You will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and solid experience in teaching year 4. You will have a deep understanding of the year 4 curriculum, including strategies for literacy, numeracy, and cross curricular learning. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build trust with pupils, parents and colleagues. You will be reflective, and growth minded, open to feedback and professional development.
