Graduate Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 SEN Support (Autism & ADHD)

Looking for meaningful experience before a career in psychology, SEN, or teaching? Start here.

*** Graduate Learning Support Assistant
*** £90 – £105 per day
*** September 2025 – July 2026
*** Secondary School Location: Walsall
*** 1:1 support for a Year 10 student with Autism and ADHD

The Role
You’ll work closely with a Year 10 student, providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day. Your role will focus on helping them manage focus, routines, and social interaction, while accessing the GCSE curriculum. You’ll be supporting across core subjects, helping to reduce anxiety and provide structure during lessons.

Alongside classroom work, you’ll reinforce behaviour plans, implement learning strategies, and build a supportive working relationship based on trust and understanding.

The Candidate
You’re a graduate—ideally with a background in psychology, education, or a related field—who’s patient, empathetic, and proactive. You’ve got a calm presence and an interest in autism, ADHD, and how neurodiverse students learn. Experience working with young people (tutoring, mentoring, care work, or in schools) is highly desirable.

This is ideal for anyone considering careers in educational psychology, SEN teaching, or youth mental health.

The School
This inclusive secondary school in Walsall has a strong SEN team and a clear structure for supporting students with additional needs. You’ll be welcomed into a collaborative environment where graduate staff receive training, guidance, and space to grow professionally.

If you want hands-on SEN experience in a supportive setting—apply now.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
