Job Description

Graduate Learning Support Assistant

Are you a graduate looking to gain experience in a primary school supporting children with autism?

*** Graduate Learning Support Assistant
*** £81–£102 per day
*** September 2025 – July 2026
*** Central Wolverhampton Primary School
*** 1:1 and small group support within Autism & ASD

The Role
As a Graduate Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2 who are on the autism spectrum. Your role will involve delivering targeted 1:1 support, leading small group interventions, and helping children engage with the curriculum in a way that suits their individual needs. You’ll assist with emotional regulation, social interaction, and classroom routines—always guided by the school’s SEN team.

The Candidate
You're a graduate with a strong interest in SEN, psychology, or education. You’ll need to be empathetic, reliable and adaptable, with the confidence to build positive relationships with children who may struggle with communication and change. Previous experience with autism—whether in a school, family, or voluntary setting—is a big advantage.

The School
This primary school in central Wolverhampton is well-regarded for its inclusive ethos and strong SEN provision. You’ll join a supportive team that values the role of graduates and offers consistent training and mentoring. Many former LSAs have gone on to careers in teaching, therapy, or educational psychology after completing their year here.

If you want to gain specialist SEN experience in a nurturing school—apply today.

Due to the number of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
