Experienced SEN Teacher – Primary or Secondary – Islington – January Start

About the Role 
  • Location: Islington 
  • Start Date: January 
  • Role: SEN Teacher (Primary or Secondary) 
  • Salary: £170.00 - £250.00 per day plus SEN Allowance 
 
The ideal candidate will have: 
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN). 
  • A strong understanding of various SEN needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. 
  • The ability to create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs. 
  • Excellent skills in communication, behaviour management, and differentiation. 
  • A commitment to helping all students achieve their potential academically, socially, and emotionally. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Plan and deliver personalised lessons that meet the needs of SEN learners in line with their Individual Education Plans (IEPs). 
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support student progress. 
  • Regularly assess, track, and report on students’ development to ensure tailored support is effective. 
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence. 
  • Engage with parents and carers to maintain strong communication and partnership in supporting student needs.
