Job Description

Experienced Teaching Assistant – Hackney – Immediate Start 
Are you a skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant school setting? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic TA with a strong background in supporting students with SEN, particularly those with SEMH needs, to assist teachers and help foster a positive learning environment across a range of subjects. 
 
Pay: £100 - £110 per day 
Location: Hackney 
Start Date: January  
Interview Date: ASAP 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons across a range of subjects. 
  • Support classroom management, helping maintain a positive and focused learning environment, especially for students with SEMH challenges. 
  • Provide tailored one-on-one and group support to students, with particular emphasis on supporting those requiring SEN and SEMH assistance. 
  • Help students develop study skills, build confidence, and foster a love for learning. 
  • Prepare and organize learning materials and classroom resources that cater to diverse learning needs. 
  • Contribute to the overall welfare and personal development of students, with sensitivity to the social and emotional needs of students with SEN and SEMH. 
 
Requirements: 
  • Previous experience working with children or young people, with a strong background in supporting students with SEN and SEMH. 
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. 
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting student achievement and well-being. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and staff.
