SEN Teaching Assistant – Inclusive Mainstream School with Specialist Provision – Tower Hamlets

A vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team, working across both the classroom and the school's Specialist Provision. Role Details: 
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant 
  • Location: Tower Hamlets 
  • Interview Date: Immediate 
  • Contract: Full-Time / Long-term 
  • Salary: £103 – £110 per day (dependent on experience) 
 
The Role: 
You will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Working across the mainstream classroom and a well-resourced Specialist Provision, you’ll provide tailored support that helps every child reach their potential.

  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a school setting 
  • Confidence in adapting strategies and resources to suit individual learning needs 
  • A calm, compassionate, and flexible approach to supporting pupils with complex needs 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills 
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and empowering young learners 
 
Your Key Responsibilities: 
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support, both in class and within the Specialist Provision 
  • Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour support strategies 
  • Help pupils develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills 
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistency in support 
  • Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all
