Are you a caring and adaptable SEND Teacher looking for a role where you can truly shape lives?
A wonderful special school in Coventry is seeking a SEND Teacher to take on a Key Stage 3 class of students with a range of complex needs. This class includes students with Autism, Down’s Syndrome, communication differences and some physical disabilities, making this a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who thrives in creative, nurturing environments.
As a SEND Teacher in this setting, you will teach a small class with excellent support from skilled Teaching Assistants. You will work closely with a highly committed leadership team who place student well-being, communication, and personal development at the heart of the curriculum. Lessons are adapted, practical and designed around each student’s strengths – no two days are the same, and every success is celebrated.
Job Role:
- Teaching a Key Stage 3 class with diverse and complex learning needs
- Planning creative lessons that build independence, confidence and engagement
- Differentiating activities to meet a wide range of abilities and communication styles
- Leading a classroom supported by experienced Teaching Assistants
- Working closely with therapists, families and external agencies
- Creating a safe, positive and structured learning environment where students can thrive
