Job Description
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact in a primary school setting? This welcoming Birmingham primary school is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team and support pupils across Key Stages 1 & 2.
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide engaging, inclusive learning experiences that help every child achieve their potential. This role is ideal for someone who loves working with children, is patient and enthusiastic, and enjoys being part of a supportive school community.
Job Role:
• Supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum.
• Providing small group and 1-2-1 support to help pupils make academic and social progress.
• Assisting with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and lesson preparation.
• Helping to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
• Encouraging confidence, curiosity, and independence in every pupil.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and supporting enrichment activities.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
• A patient, caring, and proactive attitude to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
