Maths Teacher – PRU – Wolverhampton
Are you a passionate and resilient Maths Teacher looking to make a real difference to young people’s lives? This Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to join their team and teach small groups of students who require additional support to succeed in education. You’ll be delivering Maths lessons up to GCSE level in a setting that values relationships, consistency, and positive change.

As a Maths Teacher in this PRU, you’ll work with small class sizes, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants and a strong leadership team who are committed to ensuring both staff and students thrive. Many students have experienced barriers to learning, so the ideal candidate will be adaptable, patient, and confident in managing challenging behaviour while creating engaging and accessible lessons.

Job Role:
  • Teaching Maths to small classes of students up to GCSE level.
  • Planning and delivering lessons that inspire confidence and enjoyment of learning.
  • Adapting teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners with SEMH needs.
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants to provide targeted, individualised support.
  • Using behaviour management strategies effectively to maintain a calm, purposeful classroom.
  • Supporting students to re-engage with education and achieve their potential.
