Teaching Assistant – Post-16 SEND – Dudley
Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional needs as they prepare for life after education? A post-16 SEND provision in Dudley is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team, providing one-to-one and small group support for students aged 16–19 with a range of learning difficulties and special educational needs.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students develop confidence, communication, independence, and employability skills. You will work alongside experienced tutors and support staff to deliver engaging, practical lessons tailored to individual needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is committed to helping every young person reach their full potential.
Job Role:
  • Supporting post-16 learners with SEND on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
  • Encouraging participation in lessons, vocational training, and enrichment activities
  • Assisting students with communication, social, and life skills development
  • Providing emotional and behavioural support to promote a positive learning experience
  • Working collaboratively with tutors and support staff to ensure consistent, high-quality provision
You Will Need:
  • Experience supporting young people with special educational needs (post-16 experience desirable)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping students achieve their goals and develop independence
