Teaching Assistant – Walsall– SEND
A specialist school in Walsall is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting children with a range of additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality support in the classroom, providing one-to-one and small group support to pupils. You will help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed and develop their confidence.

Job Role:
  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs across the curriculum.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support to children with additional needs.
  • Assisting the class teacher in creating engaging and inclusive lessons.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils build social and emotional skills.
  • Supporting the implementation of individual learning plans.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience supporting children with additional learning needs or challenging behaviours, ideally within a school setting.
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential.
