SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2
Are you a SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference? Do you enjoy breaking down barriers to learning and supporting children with special educational needs? This excellent school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team and provide 1-2-1 support for a child in Key Stage 2. This school is a supportive and welcoming environment that provides outstanding assistants for children with additional learning needs.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be joining a welcoming team of teachers, teaching assistants and leaders who are committed to providing every child with an interactive and  engaging education. You will be supporting children in Key Stage 2 on a 1-2-1 basis, tailoring your approach to meet the needs of pupils. This role requires a level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant who has previous experience supporting within a SEND school or similar setting.

Job Role:
  • Providing tailored support for a child with special educational needs as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Working closely with an experienced team of SEN teaching assistants to provide the best possible support.
  • Understanding a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, Complex Needs, and Aspergers’.
  • Supporting the child on a 1-2-1 basis, delivering intervention where required.
  • Managing behaviours, helping the child to engage with lessons.
  • Recording progress of the child and reporting to the SENCO.
