Job Description
Are you a qualified English Teacher passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? A specialist school in Walsall is looking for an empathetic and skilled English Teacher to join their dedicated team this September.
You will be teaching small groups of Key Stage 3 and 4 students, delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons that support both academic and personal development. This role requires excellent behaviour management, a flexible and nurturing approach, and a genuine commitment to helping students overcome barriers to learning. You’ll be supported by a strong leadership team and a collaborative staff community that shares a commitment to inclusive education.
Job Role:
- Delivering English to small groups of SEMH students in KS3 and KS4.
- Creating tailored, engaging lessons that build confidence and literacy skills.
- Using a trauma-informed approach to manage behaviour positively.
- Supporting the wider personal and emotional development of students.
- Working with teaching assistants, therapists and pastoral staff to provide holistic support.
- Working in a setting where relationships are at the heart of learning.
- A strong support network and regular CPD opportunities.
