Job Description
Are you a Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity in a welcoming and supportive primary school? This two-form entry primary school in Birmingham, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is a long-term role where you will work closely with teachers to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment. With excellent leadership and a collaborative team, this school provides an outstanding level of support to both staff and pupils.
Job Role:
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
- Working 1:1 and in small groups to provide tailored interventions.
- Assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy to help children reach their full potential.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting a positive learning environment.
- Supporting children with additional learning needs, adapting resources where required.
- Helping to prepare learning materials and creating a stimulating classroom setting.
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a primary school setting.
- A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach to supporting children’s learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
