Job Description
Are you a Science Teacher looking for an exciting and rewarding teaching opportunity? Teaching science in an Alternative Provision offers the chance to work with smaller classes, deliver creative lessons, and see the direct impact of your teaching on students who have faced barriers to education.
This Alternative Provision in Birmingham is seeking a passionate QTS Science Teacher to inspire and support students with SEMH needs. With class sizes of just 8-10 students, you’ll have the freedom to tailor your lessons, supported by a dedicated Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to help students rediscover their love for learning in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Job Role:
- Teaching science to small groups of students with SEMH needs, up to GCSE level.
- Breaking down barriers to learning and creating engaging lessons that capture students’ interest.
- Working closely with experienced Teaching Assistants to provide personalised support.
- Inspiring students to achieve their potential and develop a passion for science.
- Creating a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.
- A long-term science teaching role with opportunities for career progression.
- Outstanding support from the Senior Leadership Team and a collaborative teaching staff.
