Job Description
Are you an experienced English Teacher with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young people? This established PRU is seeking a dedicated QTS English Teacher to teach up to GCSE level, helping students overcome barriers to learning and rediscover a love for education. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive setting where your expertise can have a lasting impact on young people who need it most. As an English Teacher you will be teaching English up to GCSE to classes of no more than 9 students.
This role is perfect for an English Teacher who thrives on engaging with small classes, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs, and supporting students who may have faced challenges in mainstream education. You will be joining a committed team of educators who are passionate about creating a positive and nurturing environment.
Job Role:
- Teaching GCSE English to small classes of students with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs.
- Planning and delivering lessons that are engaging, accessible, and tailored to meet the abilities and needs of students.
- Supporting students to build their confidence in reading, writing, and language skills.
- Managing classroom behaviour using effective behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
- Working as part of a collaborative team to ensure all students achieve their potential.
