Job Description
As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing social and academic support for students with EHCP’s, who require additional assistance. You will be responsible for keeping children on track and assisting the teacher in managing behaviours. The SENCO and pastoral lead work closely with Teaching Assistants to ensure that the needs of students are met. This role requires a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with SEMH needs, and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
Job Role:
- Supporting on a 1-2-1 basis within small classes of KS3/4 children with EHCP’s
- Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs
- Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
- Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for pupils
- Breaking down barriers to communication and effectively managing behaviours
- Outstanding support form an established team of Teaching Assistants
- Access to ongoing training and CPD
- Working with an outstanding SEND Teacher
