Pertemps Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in the Lewisham area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs and helping them re-engage with learning.
The Role:

• Supporting students aged 11–16 with SEMH or behavioural challenges
• Working closely with class teachers and pastoral staff to provide targeted support
• Building positive relationships with students to encourage confidence and independence
• Assisting with lesson delivery and small-group interventions
• Helping to maintain a calm and supportive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with SEMH, behavioural or disengaged learners (PRU, SEND or mainstream)
• Calm, nurturing and resilient approach
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills
• Team player with a genuine passion for helping young people succeed
• DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
