We are seeking a passionate and skilled Social Worker to join our Family Support & Safeguarding team in Barking and Dagenham. This permanent, full-time role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of children and families, working within a supportive and innovative environment.
About the role:
As a Social Worker in the Family Support & Safeguarding team, you will:

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to children and families in need.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop effective care plans that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies to provide holistic support.
• Champion the voice of the child and advocate for their best interests.
• Ensure your practice meets statutory requirements and reflects best practice in safeguarding and family support.

About you:

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and relevant legislation.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with children, young people, and families.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Previous experience in a similar role within children’s services is desirable.
