Trainee Class 2 Driver

Pay: £17.00–£22.00 per hour (PAYE) + holiday pay
Location: Avonmouth, Bristol (BS11)

Night shifts: Start times between 23:00 and 03:00 (Weekdays and weekends depending on demand)
Contract: Ongoing temporary work once qualified
Start date: ASAP

Have you ever thought about becoming an HGV driver but weren’t sure where to start, this could be your chance.
We’re offering a supportive upskilling programme that takes you from a standard car licence to a full Class 2 (Category C) and straight into work with a local Client.

What the Training Looks Like

We will guide you through everything you need to know to become a qualified Class 2 Driver. Including the following:

• A friendly team to support you at every step
• Practical HGV Driving lesson with experienced instructors
• Vehicle checks
• Understanding WTD and driver hours
• CPC and Digital tachograph training

What the Job Involves (Once You’re Qualified)

Your role will include:

• Delivering to stores at night
• Doing pre- and post-trip checks
• Following driver hours rules and using the tacho correctly
• Keeping delivery paperwork accurate
• Staying in touch with the transport team when needed
• Making sure your load is secure and sites are safe.

Requirements

• The right to work within the UK
• A UK full manual car licence (Cat B)
• Lives within the Bristol area
• Age 19+
