Wood Machinist

Location: Kidderminster
Hours: 07:00 – 16:00 / Early finish Friday
Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
 
We are currently seeking a skilled Wood Machinist with extensive Carpentry skills to join our client on a Temporary to Permanent basis. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with woodworking machinery and carpentry techniques, producing high-quality work to specification.
 
The duties of a Wood Machinist:
 

• Operating woodworking machinery including spindle moulders.

• Skilled use of hand and power tools, including nail guns.

• Sanding, preparing, and finishing timber products.

• Hanging and fitting doors to a high standard.

• Working from technical drawings and following production schedules.

• Maintaining a safe and tidy workspace in line with health and safety procedures.

 
The requirements of a Wood Machinist:
 

• Proven woodworking or carpentry skills.

• Experience operating a spindle moulder and other woodworking equipment.

• Confident in the use of a nail gun and sanding equipment.

• Ability to hinge and hang doors accurately.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
