Job Description
The job purpose is to process mail during the Christmas season, working to an agreed service standard to help spread some festive joy, while ensuring all legislative standards are met.
Main Duties:
- Opening and sorting mail, using letter opening machines
- Accessing content and accurately entering names and addresses into the data system using excel
- General administrative duties
- Handling mail distribution
- Good IT skills, capable of inputting with speed and accuracy.
- Competency in using Microsoft apps, especially excel.
- Professional attitude and commitment to work.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Clear criminal record
- Organised administrator with the ability to understand and implement instructions quickly.
- Ability to lift up to 10kg and push up to 250kg
Working Hours, Pay Rate and Other Information:
You will be required to work between 30 – 35 hours per week, between Monday and Friday. Full flexibility is needed for any shifts between the times of 10:45am and 5:45pm.
The rate of pay for the role will be £12 per hour (Mon - Sat) and £14 on Sunday. At present no weekend work is required, however this may change. The duration of the contract will be 4-6 weeks, from 11th November 2024 – 10th January 2024.
