Job Title: HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Musselburgh
Salary: £13.50 per hour (Standard) / £20.25 per hour (Overtime after 40 hours)
Start Time: 6:15 AM
Contract: Temp to Perm
About Us:
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team in Musselburgh. This is a great opportunity for drivers who are keen to work in a dynamic environment, operating either refuse trucks or skip vehicles. While prior experience with these specific vehicles is not required, you should be comfortable working in this type of role and environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles (Refuse trucks or Skip vehicles) to complete scheduled routes safely and efficiently.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Interact professionally with clients and the public, providing excellent customer service.
• Work within health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with loading and unloading of skips or refuse as required, following the company’s procedures.
• Ensure the timely completion of all routes and paperwork.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (C) driving license.
• CPC qualification (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• No prior experience with refuse trucks or skip vehicles is necessary, but you must be happy to work in this environment.
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Good time management and the ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to start work at 6:15 AM.
• Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude.
