Internal Technical Sales Engineer – Mechanical Equipment
Location: Derby
Salary: Up to £34,775 basic + monthly bonus (OTE £40,000+)

A well-established and growing supplier of mechanical equipment is looking to expand its Internal Sales Team with the addition of a Technical Sales Engineer. Based at offices in Derby, you'll be part of a knowledgeable and supportive team, providing clients with expert advice and tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicating with clients and prospective clients via email and telephone
  
  
• Gathering detailed information on customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions
  
  
• Preparing and issuing quotations over the phone and by email
  
  
• Liaising with suppliers to obtain quotations for products
  
  
• Handling technical queries via phone and email
  
  
• Following up on quotations and proposals
  
  
• Processing orders using Sage 200 and raising corresponding purchase orders
  
  

About You:To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a sales role within the mechanical equipment industry
  
  
• Confident IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office
  
  
• Experience using Sage or a similar ERP system
  
  
• A professional and clear telephone manner
  
  
• A strong team ethic and willingness to collaborate
