The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a dedicated Outreach Worker for a full-time, office-based role. The position operates on a temporary basis and involves delivering services both from the office and directly at client locations.

Key Requirements:

• Valid business car insurance
• Active DV clearance
• Consistent access to a personal vehicle

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of rough sleepers and single homeless applicants, ensuring support needs are met and clients can sustain tenancies.
• Collaborate with teams like RAMPH to assess needs and guide clients to appropriate services.
• Act as the main contact for allocated individuals, maintaining records and reporting data.
• Create tailored action plans with coordinators to secure suitable housing and support.
• Liaise with welfare departments to ensure benefit access.
• Support homelessness applications through close coordination with relevant teams.

• Understanding of key homelessness legislation and housing-related benefits
• Experience working directly with people in high-stress situations
• Awareness of diverse needs across Harrow's communities
• Clear, calm communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Effective negotiation skills for engaging support agencies
• Creative approach to housing solutions
• Able to work independently and within a team under tight deadlines
