Job Description
Job Title: Dispatcher / Scheduler - Engineers
Location: Caterham
Contract Type: Temporary - Full Time (Monday to Friday in office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch engineers across the UK for repair, installation, and security jobs.
- Manage and update the daily and weekly engineer schedules, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Act as the main point of contact for engineers, customers, and internal teams regarding scheduling and job updates.
- Monitor progress of ongoing jobs and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate emergencies or last-minute changes.
- Ensure all job details, updates, and engineer movements are accurately recorded in the system.
- Liaise with customers to confirm appointments and provide updates on engineer attendance.
- Work closely with operations, customer service, and technical teams to ensure smooth workflow and service delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in scheduling, dispatching, or diary management (preferably within engineering, technical services, or field operations).
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to coordinate effectively between engineers, clients, and internal departments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, reactive environment with shifting priorities.
- Proficient with scheduling systems, databases, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of technical or engineering terminology is an advantage.
