Graduate Investment Operations Assistant

Sheridan Maine Accounting & Finance have an exceptional opportunity to join a highly regarded private investment firm, supporting the management of in-house collective investments and private client portfolios. You’ll be joining a small, ambitious team where you’ll gain hands-on experience across client servicing, portfolio administration, performance analysis, and investment reporting. 
 
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of client portfolios, supporting the Private Office team across a variety of tasks from data management and performance monitoring, to trade execution and client communications. It’s a varied role where no two days are the same, and you’ll quickly develop a strong understanding of how investments are managed in practice.
 
What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting the Private Office team with day-to-day portfolio management and client administration
• Preparing meeting packs, maintaining databases, and ensuring accurate client data across internal systems
• Producing performance statistics, costs and charges data, and daily monitoring reports
• Liaising with operations, compliance, and IT to resolve data or transactional issues
• Assisting in producing client reports, valuations, and investment summaries
• Placing and monitoring trades under supervision
• Providing excellent service to clients, ensuring all activity is accurate, compliant, and timely

 
What we’re looking for:

• A recent graduate with a strong academic background, ideally in a finance, economics, business or numerate discipline
• A genuine interest in investments and financial markets
• High attention to detail, with strong Excel and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, professional attitude
• Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Someone who enjoys working collaboratively in a close-knit, high-performing team
