Paint Technician | Dagenham | £40,600 + 15% Shift Uplift

I'm working with a well-established client in the OE Operations & Logistics sector, looking for an experienced Paint Technician to join their team. This role involves painting and refinishing commercial parts using HVLP equipment, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities Include:
" Preparing surfaces for paint application and ensuring proper surface adherence, while communicating any concerns to the preparation team.
" Confidently applying "wet on wet" techniques to produce parts that meet all quality and conformity standards.
" Mixing and matching paint to precise specifications, ensuring a flawless, smooth finish with no surface issues.
" Applying paint using HVLP spray guns with expert precision.
" Operating and maintaining low-bake ovens, ensuring they are cleaned and properly always maintained.
" Taking ownership of product quality within your area, adhering to quality systems, and ensuring continuous improvement.
" Identifying and correcting any defects and working with anti-static equipment to minimise inclusions on substrates.
" Supporting the escalation of any serious issues to management and ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.

Essential Skills & Experience:
" City & Guilds Level 3 or IMI qualification in automotive refinishing, or significant relevant experience in a similar environment.
" Strong knowledge of paint application techniques and the ability to mix and match colours with accuracy.
" Familiarity with low-bake ovens and drying techniques, as well as reading and interpreting technical instructions.
" A solid understanding of health and safety processes, quality conformance, and continuous improvement.
