Job Description

Exciting opportunity alert! Join our team as a Document Controller. In this role, you'll collaborate with Programme and Project Teams, facilitating the governance process of all documents as part of project life cycles.Your responsibilities will include supporting
Project Takeover, coordinating with on-site and project-based staff, and ensuring accurate documentation retrieval from key stakeholders is uploaded seamlessly onto our project document management system.

What you’ll be doing as a Document Controller
  • Ensure all project documentation is correctly named, uploaded, and filed on the project document management system.
  • Setting up and maintaining project handover delivery trackers.
  • Maintain satisfactory uploading of subcontractor documents.
  • Maintaining and monitoring of Business Collaborator Assure and closure in RAG.
  • Maintain all site folders in a state where archiving can be completed efficiently and retrieved.
  • Liaise with the Project Handover Manager and Project Managers, providing updates on project status and highlighting and chasing missing documentation.
  • Copying and scanning of project documentation.
  • Provide and record Asset tags to Operations teams.

Hybrid – Clearwater Court, Reading – you will be required to be in the office 2-3 days a week.

36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

What you should bring to the role
  • Be a confident user of MS Office programmes.
  • Have a background working in an administrative role.
  • Hold knowledge in documentation control gained within the construction sector is desirable.
  • To be able to speak to all levels of internal and external stakeholders confidently.
  • Have the determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning, attention to detail, and organisation skills.
  • Understand how the department's operations relate to others and work collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the business.
