Location: Letchworth Garden City
Salary: £36,000 – £36,500 (DOE)
Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 17:00
• Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 – 12:00

Pertemps is proud to be partnering with a well-established builders merchants in Letchworth Garden City, currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with HIAB certification. This is a key role for someone passionate about professional driving, customer service, and being a reliable part of a successful logistics team.

📦 Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver building materials safely and on time, following all road safety laws
• Operate a HIAB crane effectively for loading/unloading of goods
• Ensure every customer interaction is professional and courteous
• Handle products with care to prevent loss or damage
• Maintain clear communication and report any health and safety concerns promptly
• Represent the business professionally at all times, on and off-site

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence and HIAB licence (both essential)
• Experience in the builders merchants industry or similar field (essential)
• Positive, approachable, and customer-focused
• Excellent verbal communication and time management skills
• Calm under pressure and highly self-motivated
• Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude
• Willingness to learn about company products and procedures
