Meter Reader / Driver

Are you an experienced multi-drop van driver looking for a change?

As a meter reader, you will be required to obtain readings from utility meters at both domestic and commercial properties covering the South East (not central London).

Days: Monday to Friday (permanent position)
Hours: 40hrs per week
Salary: £25,500 per annum (+ performance bonus)

The role:

You will be responsible for updating your readings and findings in real time via a provided handheld device.
Your working week will consist of 40 hours, between 8am and 5pm, providing you with flexibility to drive your performance, approx; 20 visits per day.
Plan and optimise your own route and visit times to improve performance.
Where necessary arrange appointments with customers and directly liaise with clients on site.

About you:

Be upbeat, self - motivated and use your own initiative and common sense.
Comfortable with loan working.
Have a good level of fitness.
Excellent organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
5 years of searchable history to pass screening and vetting standards.
Experience in one of the following would be beneficial:

• Metering experience
• Multi drop driving / van delivery
• Post person / traffic warden
