We are recruiting a Foundry Operator / General Labourer to join our client’s expanding team in Congleton.
Working as part of the foundry team, you’ll handle aluminium ingots as they are poured from the furnace, ensuring safe stacking, packaging, and quality output.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, so reliability, stamina, and a strong work ethic are essential.

Key Responsibilities of this General Labourer role:

• Operate safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals
• Monitor and report any issues with equipment or production
• Conduct pre-shift checks and maintain process control
• Record operational data accurately
• Keep your area tidy and hazard-free
• Adhere to company systems, policies, and safety procedures
• Participate fully in training and development

Skills & Qualities required for this General Labourer role:

• Physically fit, reliable, and not afraid of hard work
• Able to work effectively in a team environment
• Previous experience in manufacturing, foundry, or recycling is beneficial
• FLT or mobile plant experience advantageous
• Comfortable in a warm, industrial environment

Shift Pattern:

• Week 1: Monday–Thursday, 06:00–18:00
• Week 2: Monday–Wednesday, 18:00–06:00
• Salary: Starting at £26,500 – rising to £32,944 after training (inclusive of shift allowance), with potential to reach £38,244 after 2–3 years
