Maintenance Technician

The company are an established and very successful manufacturer of food products industry.

Pertemps are recruiting on their behalf for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for their operations in the Banbury area.

Salary - circa £50,000 per annum.

The shift pattern is ; Wednesday 12pm to 6pm, Thursday to Saturday 7am to 6pm (39 hour week over 3.5 days)

Main Goal

• To carry out plant maintenance across the site, ensuring production machinery is fully functioning and working to an optimal level.

 
Main Responsibilities

• Provide an effective emergency response service for machine breakdowns within the factory - providing immediate and long term solutions in a timely, safe and cost effective manner.
• Undertaking fault finding and diagnostic work, understand and diagnose problems and then implement permanent corrective actions to prevent occurrence.
• Understand breakdown issues to ensure that remedial solutions can be implemented.
• Undertaking planned preventative routine maintenance across all equipment on this site.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and follow these through to implementation where appropriate.
• Complete handover reports.
• Undertake risk assessments.

 
Skills and experience required

• Experience of working in plant maintenance within a manufacturing / production environment - preferably food.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics systems.
• Hold a 17th or 18th edition cert.
• PLC working knowledge.
• Hold an ONC or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Able to commit to the given shift pattern.
• Understanding of permits to work and lock off procedures.
