An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancer to join a highly regarded legal team in Newcastle city centre. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a strong background in residential property who is looking to take ownership of a varied caseload and contribute to a supportive and professional working environment.

The Role
As a Conveyancer, you will manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in legal service, client care, compliance, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear, practical advice to clients, maintaining high standards of service and client care.
  • Handle all aspects of residential property transactions independently.
  • Ensure effective file and case management in line with internal procedures.
  • Meet agreed billing and performance targets, accurately recording chargeable time.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the team and wider firm.
  • Keep up to date with developments in conveyancing law and maintain competence through ongoing training.
  • Engage in business development and marketing activities including networking and content creation.
  • Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and firm-wide policies.

Qualifications & Training
  • 5 GCSEs at grade 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent.
  • A Law degree or equivalent legal training.
  • Additional qualifications or conveyancing-specific training desirable.
Experience
  • Proven experience managing a full residential conveyancing caseload.
  • Proficiency in using the Land Registry Portal.
  • Familiarity with the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme is advantageous.
